This job is for you if you:

We are looking for a Lead QA Engineer to own and drive the quality strategy of our product. This is a hands-on role where you will design, build, and maintain robust automation frameworks, lead regression and smoke testing, and ensure high-quality releases through CI/CD pipeline integration.

You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams to enable fast, reliable, and scalable test automation across the product lifecycle.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end quality assurance strategy for the product.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Java and Playwright.
  • Lead regression testing, smoke testing, and end-to-end automation for web applications.
  • Integrate automated test suites into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ensure automated tests are executed as part of build, deployment, and release pipelines.
  • Analyze test results, identify flaky tests, and continuously improve test reliability.
  • Define test plans, test strategies, and quality metrics for releases.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams to ensure quality at every stage.
  • Review automation code and enforce best practices, standards, and reusability.
  • Mentor and guide QA engineers, conducting code reviews and technical coaching.
  • Proactively identify quality risks and drive defect prevention initiatives.
  • Ensure proper reporting and visibility of test coverage, defects, and release readiness.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java-based test automation.
  • Solid experience with Playwright for web automation.
  • Proven expertise in regression testing, smoke testing, and end-to-end automation.
  • Experience integrating automation suites with Jenkins pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and DevOps practices.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong knowledge of test design techniques and QA best practices.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git).
  • Ability to debug issues across UI, API, and backend layers.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Good to Have

  • Experience with API automation (REST).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
  • Exposure to containerization (Docker).
  • Performance or security testing experience.
  • Experience working in product-based companies or SaaS products.
