This job is for you if you:
We are looking for a Lead QA Engineer to own and drive the quality strategy of our product. This is a hands-on role where you will design, build, and maintain robust automation frameworks, lead regression and smoke testing, and ensure high-quality releases through CI/CD pipeline integration.
You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams to enable fast, reliable, and scalable test automation across the product lifecycle.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end quality assurance strategy for the product.
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Java and Playwright.
- Lead regression testing, smoke testing, and end-to-end automation for web applications.
- Integrate automated test suites into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure automated tests are executed as part of build, deployment, and release pipelines.
- Analyze test results, identify flaky tests, and continuously improve test reliability.
- Define test plans, test strategies, and quality metrics for releases.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams to ensure quality at every stage.
- Review automation code and enforce best practices, standards, and reusability.
- Mentor and guide QA engineers, conducting code reviews and technical coaching.
- Proactively identify quality risks and drive defect prevention initiatives.
- Ensure proper reporting and visibility of test coverage, defects, and release readiness.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java-based test automation.
- Solid experience with Playwright for web automation.
- Proven expertise in regression testing, smoke testing, and end-to-end automation.
- Experience integrating automation suites with Jenkins pipelines.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and DevOps practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong knowledge of test design techniques and QA best practices.
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
- Ability to debug issues across UI, API, and backend layers.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with API automation (REST).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
- Exposure to containerization (Docker).
- Performance or security testing experience.
- Experience working in product-based companies or SaaS products.
